Experience
In past experiences, I have been an ESL mentor. As a mentor, I assisted students who had trouble adjusting to the English landuage by helping them read, write grammatically correct and understand the American culture. I have also been a tutor at an Elementrary school when I was an active member in the Community Service Club in High School. Currently, as a college student, I have taken basic Psychology and Sociology, Human development, Experimental Psychology, three different English courses and passed them all successfully. While i'm in school, I also have a job as a direct care partner. This job involves me caring for a lady with alzheimers. With this job under my belt, I have learned patience and understanding with people of different backgrounds and disorders. I want to become a tutor because I feel that it would be a fulfilling way to help someone who's struggling wtih school work and give them a boost in confidence. I enjoy helping and learning from people, so I feel this would be a great experience.
